87碩士論文:發展一套基於產品狀態的機械設計程序模型—並強調人因的認知

  設計程序在產品的發展過程中扮演了一個很重要的角色,大多數的設計程序研究嘗試建立一套結構性的設計程序模型來描述或幫助設計發展。許多的設計模型把設計程序分成一連串的設計者活動。
  這篇研究論文從不同的觀點提出一套新的設計程序模型,我們認為設計是一種動態解決問題的過程,所有的問題均開始於一個問題的解決,而且在解決問題時子問題不斷的動態產生。為了替換結構性的設計程序模型,新的模型提出在設計程序演化過程中的產品“狀態”,新的設計程序模型可以被看成在“產品狀態空間”內的動態移動與演化。“產品狀態”是設計者可以用來產生資訊去解決或評估設計子問題,並且他同時常以設計原形狀態來表示。從設計問題映射到合適的產品狀態是設計過程中重要的決策。
  基於新設計程序的概念,論文中發展了一套產品資料管理系統(PDMsystem)來管理設計程序,此套系統不但支援設計者合適的設計工具同時也記錄設計相關檔案,這些設計經驗將幫助設計者解決未來或其他的設計問題,我們認為解決問題經驗和設計工具的評估選擇可以代表著一個設計小組的能力。最後,論文利用強調人因認知的設計案例來描述、驗證整個新設計程序概念。

Developing Mechanical Design Process Model Based on Product States - with Emphasis on Ergonmic Considerations

  Design process plays an important role to the success of development of a product. Most researches in design process try to establish a structured model to describe or facilitate design. Most design process models divide the design process into several sequential phases based on the essential activities of the designers.
  This thesis presents a new designprocess model from a different point of view. Design is a dynamic problem solving process. All designs start with a problem to be solved,and sub-problems are generate dynamically while solving this problem. Instead of structure design process pattern, the new model presents the states of the product evolving during the design process. The new design process is viewed as dynamically moving around the product state space. A product state is representation of the product that the designers use to generate information to answer or evaluate the current design sub-problem,and it is usually represented by a design prototype. Mappings from design sub-problem to proper product states are important design decision.
  Based on the concept of the new design process, a product data management system is developed to manage the design process. The PDM system also supports designers to select proper design tools to solve problem and record related files. These experience will support designer to solve problems in future projects. We consider that the experiences of problem solving and design tool selecting cam=n represent as the capability of a design team. Finally the thesis uses design cases which emphasize on ergonomic considerations to illustrate these concepts.
