93碩士論文:具基礎自主行為能力之遠端臨場機器人之研發

本研究的目的在應用遠端臨場技術,整合研發一部具基礎自主行為能力之遠端臨場機器人。遠端使用者可透過網際網路直接操控機器人在遠端遊走,並可感知遠端環境狀況,與遠端作雙向影音溝通,但機器人本身仍具備基礎自主行為能力,在機器人未受操控時,可設定依循指定路線自主行進,並能夠感知、判斷外在環境,做出自主反應以避免本身因為外在環境或是受到不當操作等因素而產生功能失效;環境如有緊急狀況發生時,機器人也能感知、判斷,並透過網路主動傳訊給遠端使用者或救護單位前來處理。本研究開發之遠端臨場機器人目前已成功應用於實際廠房之遠端監測。

Development of a Telepresence Robot with Basic Autonomous Behaviors

The purpose of this research is to apply telepresence technology to develop a telepresence robot with basic autonomous behaviors. Operators can manipulate the robot from a remote site through the Internet. Furthermore, users can obtain s ensory feedback from the telepresence robot, such as two-way audio and video communication and environmental conditions. The telepresence robot has basically autonomous behavior.
When not controlled by the remote user, it patrols along a track, and responds autonomously to the environment. It also sends out messages when it perceives emergency. when users input inaccurate operations. The telepresence robot developed in this research has be successfully used in the remote monitoring of a factory.
