87碩士論文:模糊邏輯在機械設計之應用

  一項產品設計成功與否,經常在於其是否滿足顧客需求。在機械設計程序中,當設計者接到一設計問題,最初的工作便是瞭解顧客的需求。了解顧客需求有許多方式,設計者在確認顧客群之後,對顧客進行訪談或作問卷調查,另外也可以由觀察產品在製造生產、銷售、或使用的過程中得知。設計者根據所得到的顧客需求將其明確的量化轉換為工程規格,再依照工程規格完成產品的設計。
  顧客往往是以口語敘述方式表達其對產品的需求,例如我希望產品重量輕、當水溫低時,要自動加熱等,可是這些敘述的表達通常都是很模糊、不明確的,設計者必須花費很多時間來量化這些模糊的顧客需求。
  本研究目的在於將模糊邏輯應用於機械設計,利用模糊邏輯理論針對QFD難以處理的「關聯型顧客需求」以模糊規則方式量化為具體的工程規格,並形成一搭配模糊理論的設計程序,讓設計者能容易利用模糊邏輯容易而直覺的進行設計。若產品牽涉到性能控制部分則進一步利用這些模糊規則來建構產品的模糊控制器,使得設計者有一套完整應用模糊邏輯的設計程序。

Applying Fuzzy Logic on Mechanical Design

  Satisfying customers’ needs has always been the most important task of product design. In the beginning of the design process, designers must translate customers’ needs into design specifications in order to embody the design. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is often used for this purpose. But the verbal descriptions are often vague and informal. Some customers’ needs include description of cause-response of the product, and are difficult to interpret using QFD.
  In this thesis, fuzzy logic is used to quantify for customers’ needs. Customers’ needs are classified into single type and relational type according to the features described. Signal type customers’ needs are still interpreted using QFD. Relational type customers’ needs are quantified by fuzzy rules and membership functions, using customers’ intuition and experience. And we can easily design and construct the fuzzy control system of the product to satisfy this type of customers’ needs. Two design cases, pet dryer and surgery drill, are used to examine this process. Finally a design process model with fuzzy logic is built. Fuzzy logic and fuzzy control become design tools that are intuitive and easy to use.
